Empire was a huge success last summer, no doubt. EVERY celebrity wanted to be on that show. So, as a new season approaches, more celebrities household names are being added to the list of appearances. Kelly Rowland has also reportedly joined the cast of the second season.
She will be playing Lucious Lyon’s mother. And for those of you trying to figure out how that will work, Rowland is set to appear in flashback.
Rowland is the latest name added to Empire’s sophomore season, joining the likes of Chris Rock and Marisa Tomei. Empire is set to premiere season 2 on September 23.
E! Online first reported the casting news.
