Jessica Alba graces cover of Forbes magazine as her business is valued at $1billion

Actress and business woman, Jessica Alba graced the cover of Forbes magazine in its issue titled America’s Richest Self-Made Women as her business ‘The Honest Company’ was valued at $1 billion and her personal fortune reaches $200 million.


Jessica started The Honest Company in 2008 when she was engaged to her now Husband Cash Warren and expecting their first child. Her mom advised her to wash the baby clothes she received as gifts for her baby shower with a detergent which she didn’t know she was allergic to. She broke out when she used the detergent and decided to create a brand of detergent that was eco-friendly and non Toxic.

The sky has been her limit since then.

 Jessica touched down at LAX on Thursday, wearing a casual ensemble including a white cardigan and grey sweatpants

 

Jessica, shown in a 2002 promo still for Dark Angel, said she spent 86 hours a week on the show but now devotes that time to The Honest Company

34 year old, mother of 2, Jessica Alba ,stuns on the covers of Shape magazine. The Honest Company founder and actress appears on the June 2015 cover of Shape, and in an array of bright swimsuits for the editorial. She admitted that “working out sucks,” but manages to stay motivated by taking classes surrounded by other people.

 “I attribute my athletic body to the martial arts, gymnastics, dance and strength training I did while filming ‘Dark Angel,"” she said of her action-packed TV series, which ran from 2000 to 2002. “That’s made me strong and really set the bar.”

Alba said that becoming a mother changed her self-image for the better.

“I wasn’t truly confident about my body until I had my daughters, Honor, 7, and Haven, 3,” she said. “I felt more comfortable in my own skin after they were born. Plus, if I want them to be happy with their bodies, I need to walk the walk.” More photos below…
