The singer and her NFL boyfriend, Russell Wilson visited a Seattle Children’s hospital yesterday to spread good cheer to the children in the hospital fighting life-altering diseases.

Russell is a frequent visitor to the hospital, and wrote a statement for their website about spending time there with the kids. “Sunday is game day for me, but my best day is Tuesday when I visit Seattle Children’s. All the amazing opportunities I’ve had on the field can’t compare to helping kids whose lives are on the line,” Russell said.

“Thank you @DangeRussWilson & @Ciara for a surprise, star-studded evening for our patients. Feeling starstruck,” the hospital tweeted after their visit. See more photos of Ciara and Russell with kids from the hospital below…

"Isn’t it great that maybe someday you’ll be normal?” Caitlyn Jenner tells a friend

In a new documentary series where he will show the world how he’s been creating his new life as a woman, Bruce Jenner, now known as Caitlyn Jenner said he’s the new normal. Huh? I quite disagree. There’s nothing normal about this transition. In the first promo for its eight-part documentary series about his transition which E! released today, Caitlyn said;

“Isn’t it great that maybe someday you’ll be normal?” Bruce tells a friend as they take a drive. “You’ll just blend into society.”

“You are normal,” the friend says. “Put it this way: I’m the new normal. Maybe this is my greatest calling in my life. Be honest with myself, be honest with my familymaybe end up helping other people. How many people go through and just waste an entire life because they never deal with themselves, to be who they are?” Jenner says.

Snoop Dogg is right. Giving solar power to 600 million africans is more important than a guy turning into a women. While many people are busy hailing Bruce Jenner and calling him a hero for living his ‘true self, rapper Snoop Dogg ain’t got time for that. He’s part of a few who feel – but won’t publicly say – that they think Bruce has a mental disorder. The rapper took to instagram today to slam mainstream media who are way more interested in Bruce’s story and glorifying it and ignoring inspiring stories like what Akon did recently. He launched a Solar academy (an institution that will train electrical engineers) that will supply electricity to millions of people in Africa and no mainstream media has carried it.

What annoys me about Bruce Jenner is how he’s making a public spectacle of himself/herself. What’s the docuseries for? Why can’t he live his truth quietly? Anyway, see what Snoop wrote below…

Texas father beats his 3 year old son to death over potty training

A Texas father has been charged with capital murder after his son died following an alleged beating.

Anthony Trakemon Powell appeared in court on Tuesday over allegations that he struck his 3-year-old son Tristan “on the head with an open hand,” according to release from the Houston Police Department.

Powell’s sister Prosha Land said in court documents that she saw Powell “discipline” her nephew “multiple times” with “his hand and with a belt” for several accidents and “lack of progress” in his son’s potty training.

Land said last week she observed Powell strike Tristan in the head after he had an accident, causing the toddler to fall from a standing position to his bottom. Then, Land said in court documents, she said Powell picked up his son, “like a rag doll,” and hit him again, in the head. The final strike knocked him over, causing him to again hit his head on the tile floor.

After the incident, Land said Tristan “exhibited unusual behavior,” and repeated several times “he was sleepy.”

The boy, who usually wanted to be held by Land, only wanted to lie on the floor, his aunt said in court documents.

The next morning, Powell woke up Land to tell her that Tristan wasn’t breathing. Land recalls hearing Tristan wheezing in a manner that sounded like an asthma attack.

She tried to administer a “breathing treatment,” she said in court documents, but he was unresponsive, so she called 911.

Doctors said Tristan suffered brain swelling and multiple skull fractures. He died a day later.

A second son, younger than Tristan, was also hospitalized after Powell allegedly scalded him with hot water.

Land, who referred to Tristan as the “boy she never had,” has been charged for failing to stop or report the assaults. She is also still in jail on $30,000 bond.

Harris County Judge Catherine Harris set bond Tuesday for Powell at $250,000. According to a spokesman for the district attorney’s office, Powell remains jailed.

According to court documents, the boys had been living with his mother in Jasper, Texas, had been staying with his father since May 10. The victim’s mother said she allowed her sons to go to Houston with his father so Powell could get to know them better.

According to court documents, Powell admitted to striking Tristan with a belt because he was trying to potty train him, but he denies striking him in the head. Land said she loved Tristan as if he were own child.

Asked to define her perfect partner, she said:

BOGOTA (Thomson Reuters Foundation) – Marcela Loaiza was 21 when she was lured from Colombia, trapped in a sex trafficking ring run and forced by Japan’s Yakuza mafia to sell sex on the streets of Tokyo.

After 18 months of sexual exploitation, she escaped, so weak and ill that her hair and teeth were falling out.

Today Loaiza, 35, runs a non-governmental organisation that bears her name to raise awareness about human trafficking among girls, women and men in Colombia and the United States, where she now lives.

While the Colombian government says tackling human trafficking is a priority, Loaiza says much more needs to be done to prevent women falling prey to trafficking rings in the first place, and to provide the health care and psychological support survivors need to recover.

Loaiza spoke with Thomson Reuters Foundation by telephone from the Colombian city of Cali, and recalled how she escaped forced prostitution and the mafia, and how she moved past the pain and guilt and healed.

“I remember a Colombian man coming up to me in a nightclub in Colombia where I was working as a professional dancer. He introduced himself to me as a talent scout looking to hire dancers to work abroad. I didn’t accept his offer, but I took his card and kept it.

“Back then, I had two jobs: one as a cashier in a supermarket and another as a dancer on the weekends. A few weeks later after I’d met the man, my daughter, who was three-and-a-half years old then, had an asthma attack. I stayed with her in hospital night and day for two days as she recovered. As a result, I lost my two jobs, and I didn’t have the money to pay for the hospital bill. I was a single mother. I was desperate. So I got in touch with the man I’d met at the nightclub and he lent me the money to pay for my daughter’s treatment. That was the hook that got me in.

“He offered me work as a professional dancer in Japan. It seemed the best way to earn money to look after my daughter and buy a house I had always wanted for my mother. I left my daughter with my mother. Within a week, I was in Tokyo.

“At the airport, I was met by three Japanese men and a Colombian woman. I later learnt she was a recruiter for the traffickers and had been a victim of trafficking herself.

A mum-of-two who was worried about her daughter’s perception of beauty has taken matters into her own hands – by creating a doll that looks just like her.

Angelica Sweeting and husband Jason, from Miami, produced the ‘naturally perfect’ Angelica Doll to reflect the appearance of their daughters, Sophia and Sydney, and they hope that it can help other families, too

In a video on their Kickstarter page , Jason explains that the Angelica Doll was ‘born out of necessity’ because their four-year-old daughter, Sophia, said she was no longer happy with how she looked.

Angelica said: “She wanted yellow hair and white skin. She pretty much just hated how she looked because she didn’t look like the doll that she constantly sees or the characters that she constantly sees on TV.”

The couple set about creating the 18-inch doll, which has natural hair, skin tone and features which truly reflect her family.

She told today.com : “There are other black dolls now but a lot of black Barbie dolls still have facial features that are Caucasian or more European and all have long straight hair even though it’s black.”

“She wanted to look like Barbie and she wanted hair like Elsa, long blond hair and white skin. I was really, really sad that my daughter would think that at such a young age…I knew I had to do something about it.”

And it’s not all about looks. The dolls will also have ‘interesting careers’ in ‘engineering, journalism, software development, public relations, etc.’ in the hope of inspiring a generation of young women to dream big.

Angelica, who left her own job to dedicate her time to this project, added that the project has given her a new perspective on her own life.

She said: “Here I am – 27 years old, and I am honestly just beginning to walk into who I am, my natural beauty.

“I want this to happen earlier, not only for my daughters but for your daughter, your niece, your sister, and for all young girls around the world. I want this to happen for all the young girls who never felt pretty enough because of their kinks, curls, wider noses or fuller lips.

“I’m creating Angelica to let girls know that they are beautiful. Our girls need to see a reflection of their own unique beauty. It’s time for our young girls to have a new standard.”

Photos: Newborn baby found being "eaten alive" by ants after being dumped in the woods in Russia

The photos had to be censored because they’re quite graphic. An abandoned new-born baby, said to be about 3 days old, was discovered by a man in the woods being ‘eaten alive’ by ants. The man, who called police, said he heard the child crying while he was taking a shortcut to work through the woods on the outskirts of Chelyabinsk, a city in Russia. The badly bitten child was lying on a pile of leaves and covered in ants. See another photo below…

Police said if the child, who still had her umbilical cord attached – hadn’t been found when she was, she would died. She was rushed to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. Police are now looking for the child’s parents.

There is a Facebook event for The Biggest Small Penis competition in the US. Contestants will strip off to display their genitals through evening wear and swimsuits at the annual competition. And some men actually came out to compete! Haha!

The owner of the smallest penis will win £325, a crown and a sash at the competition in New York.

However, organisers at the Kings County Saloon are struggling to find entrants and have put out a call for “exemplary small penises” from around the world.

It claimed to be the “first ever conference for the celebration and acceptance of small penises everywhere”.

They’ve opened up a website which lets anyone nominate their friends for the honour and video submissions will be accepted.

The party was launched to highlight the stigma of body shaming and promised to involve nudity – “and may contain nuts”.

Nigerian man dies on Sunday after hard drugs he was trying to smuggle out of Indonesia bursts inside his stomach

A 25 year old Nigerian man identified as Austin Chukwuna died on Sunday May 31st after the hard drugs he was smuggling out of Indonesia burst inside his stomach.

According to Indonesian Police, Chukwuna had on Saturday May 30th lodged at a hotel close to the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Indonesia possibly with the intent of flying out with the drugs inside him, when he suddenly ran out of the hotel on Sunday morning, screaming. Witnesses saw him run to the hotel car park like a lunatic, broke the glass of one of the cars and used it to cut himself as he tried to get the drug out of his system.

“Austin Chukwuna, 25, ran out of the Ibis Hotel near the airport compound where he had just stayed a night. He allegedly tore open his abdomen with pieces of glass,” Benda Police chief Comr. Heddi Managsi said

The police chief said when they searched inside his hotel room, they found three methamphetamine capsules and another eight meth capsules on the highway. “We then took him in the ambulance, but he died on the way to Tangerang General Hospital,” he said.

Meet the 29-year-old American woman mauled to death by lion in SA safari park

The American woman who was mauled to death by a lion at a Safari park in South Africa on June 1st has been identified as 29-year-old Katherine Chappell. The film editor, who worked on hit TV series Game of Thrones, was taking pictures of the animal through an open window when the animal jumped into her car through the window and mauled her to death…

Chappell’s sister Jennifer confirmed her identity in a heartbreaking message posted on Facebook.

She wrote:

“We are broken-hearted to share this news with our friends and family: Yesterday morning, while on a volunteer mission to protect wildlife in South Africa, Kate Chappell was involved in a tragic and fatal accident. Katie was a brilliant, kind, adventurous and high-spirited woman. Her energy and passion could not be contained by mere continents or oceans. She was very much loved and shared her love for life with those she met.

“We cannot thank everyone enough for the kind words and support. It means the world to us during this difficult time.”

In the newest issue of ‘Vanity Fair,’ Caitlyn admits that Bruce Jenner was married to his first wife Chrystie Crownover from 1972 to 1981, with whom he had two children, Burton and Cassandra but because things weren’t going well between them, they filed for a divorce.

He said half way through the divorce, Christie told him she was pregnant with his oldest daughter Casey and  because he had confused feelings about his gender, he had suggested she have an abortion. He also refused to be at her birth because he didn’t want her at that time.

At first, Bruce brought up the idea of an abortion, but “rejected it after 30 seconds.” He also told the July 1980 edition of Playboy that his “first reaction was that I didn’t want the baby.” Cassandra aka Casey, 34, told the magazine that she did not find out her father didn’t want her until she was 13.

She said: ‘I never knew he wasn’t at my birth until I was about 13 years old and we were arguing on the phone about money,’ she told the magazine. ‘He kept saying, “You don’t know the whole story”.

‘I hung up the phone and was asking my mom what he was talking about until she confessed the history behind my birth.’

‘Under the circumstances I could not even see myself being there,’ Jenner told the magIn the July 1980 edition of Playboy, Jenner had admitted: ‘My first reaction was that I didn’t want it’.

Chrystie also confirmed at the time that she had considered an abortion, but only because her husband wanted one.

This confession strained the relationship between Jenner and his daughter Casey but now things are getting better between two of them.’

It’s sad to hear that Bruce and Casey had a rough relationship during her upbringing, but on a positive note, Caitlyn now talks to her daughter, Casey, more than ever. “We now talk more than we ever have,” Jenner told Vanity Fair. “We can just be girls together.”
