Malia Obama is pictured above on set of Lena Dunham’s hit HBO show, “Girls” in New York City where she’s interning for the summer. The US president’s daughter is showing her independence once more. Last summer, Obama worked on the set of “Extant” with Halle Berry. Perhaps a film industry career is in her future.Happy birthday to her. More photos below…

President Obama‘s eldest daughter, who turns 17 tomorrow July 4th, was seen on the set of popular TV show, ‘Girls’ in New York yesterday. Malia wants to intern for the show, which is one of her favorites, for the summer. Last year, Malia Obama interned on Halle Berry’s show ‘Extant’ and this year, it’s Lena Dunham’s ‘Girls’!
