Lewis Hamilton signs new deal worth over £100m with Mercedes, now highest paid British sportsman

Lewis Hamilton today signed a new 3-year deal with Mercedes worth in the region of 100 million pounds. That means he will be making around £641,000 a week.

Mercedes unveiled the news that the 30-year-old, whose contract was due to expire at the end of this season, would be remaining with the team on the eve of this weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix.

Hamilton has signed a three-year deal which will keep him at the British-based outfit until the end of the 2018 campaign. The double world champion will also become Britain’s highest-paid sportsman. 

Hamilton’s new contract is worth £100 million over three years. He will become Britain’s highest-paid sportsman…

The 30-year-old Briton has been with the team since 2013 after six years at McLaren and won his second world title last year.

“I couldn’t be happier to be staying for another three years,” he said of the deal that will take him up to 2018.

Artist Marina Abramović feels completely used by Jay Z

Marina Abramović, the artist who collaborated with Jay Z on his Picasso Baby video two years ago, said the experience was ‘cruel’ and something she never wants to repeat. The famous artist says, Jay Z completely used her and that she would never work with him again… In an interview with Spike Magazine Marina said

“There was one reason I agreed to work with Jay Z that I can’t talk about. I am very pissed by this, since he adapted my work only under one condition: That he would help my institute. Which he didn’t.”

“The day before, he came to my office and I gave him an entire power point presentation and said: okay, you can help me, because I really need help to build this thing. Then he just completely used me. And that wasn’t fair. This is very different from Lady Gaga, for example, who has done great work for me. Just by having 45 million followers, she brought all these young kids into my public.”

“And in the end it was only a one-way transaction. I will never do it again, that I can say. Never. I was really naive in this kind of world. It was really new to me, and I had no idea that this would happen. It’s so cruel, it’s incredible. I will stay away from it for sure.”

So sad! Singer Miley Cyrus cries over her dead pet fish

Aww, Miley Cyrus is heartbroken. The 22-year-old singer and actress, dressed in a unicorn onesie, sang sadly on stage in a video she shared on Facebook. She cried while she sang about her pet fish Pablow.

“Why does everything that I love have to die? If I could do it again, I’d release you to sea because I can’t bear to see someone so wild just die in a tank.”

Towards the end of the video — which is part of her Happy Hippie Foundation Backyard Sessions — Miley can barely get through the song because she’s crying so hard. “Damn,” she says. She slammed her hands on the keyboard and walked away crying. Her fish died in Feb of this year. She’s still mourning it three months later. See the fish below…

Cuteness overload! 18yr old Australian Down Syndrome model sets to change the world

 

Awww! This is my kind of world – 18 year old Australian, Madeline Stuart was diagnosed with down syndrome but hasn’t let that set her back in life. Madeline who is a gymnast and a cheerleader always loved fashion and taking pictures of herself. She decided she wanted to model but was a bit overweight. She decided to lose some weight and actually lost about 50lbs. More photos below…

Madeline says she wants to make sure that everyone, no matter their shape or size, gets the opportunity to model. “People with down syndrome can be sexy and beautiful and should be celebrated,” her mother included in a press release.
