Lewis Hamilton today signed a new 3-year deal with Mercedes worth in the region of 100 million pounds. That means he will be making around £641,000 a week.
Mercedes unveiled the news that the 30-year-old, whose contract was due to expire at the end of this season, would be remaining with the team on the eve of this weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix.
Hamilton has signed a three-year deal which will keep him at the British-based outfit until the end of the 2018 campaign. The double world champion will also become Britain’s highest-paid sportsman.

The 30-year-old Briton has been with the team since 2013 after six years at McLaren and won his second world title last year.
“I couldn’t be happier to be staying for another three years,” he said of the deal that will take him up to 2018.
