In heartbreaking pictures from Friday, Affleck 42, and Garner, 43, steal a moment away from their children for a somber talk – clearly showing the strain of their broken relationship.
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck who announced their separation on June 30th after 10 years of marriage are pictured above at a retreat in Bahamas where they escaped to last week with their children. The couple left the kids in the home they own in Bahamas and sat outside to talk for a bit.
DID BEN AND JEN GET SPLIT TIPS FROM HIS EX GWYNETH PALTROW?
It seems Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have been taking notes from his famous ex-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow when it comes to handling their high-profile split. Paltrow redefined the PR game in the way she publicly managed her divorce from Chris Martin last year. Not only did she rebrand breaking up as ‘conscious uncoupling’, she also headed to the Bahamas on holiday with Martin and their children immediately after going public. And Ben and Jen copied that strategy with a divorce retreat at the same destination. Paltrow may have even given the couple advice first hand. While her split from Affleck in 2000 after three years was rather bitter – she called him ‘complicated’ and later hinted at his penchant for strippers – she formed an unlikely friendship with both him and Garner in recent times. Paltrow recently said Garner is ‘awesome’ and revealed they enjoyed a girls’ dinner last year.
An onlooker claimed Ben and Jen would look at each other briefly as they spoke before looking away in silence…and spent much of the time staring off into space. Sad they didn’t make it. More photos below…
