It was only a matter of time before fashion designer Olivier Rousteing enlisted Jenner sisters Kylie and Kendall to front one of his Balmain campaigns.
Kendall Jenner gave us a sneak peak into the sibling-themed shoot, which is for Balmain’s Fall 2015 collection. It’s sizzling.
While we already know the 19-year-old is taking the fashion world by storm, it’s nice to see her younger sister, Kylie Jenner, has landed her first high-profile campaign. You go girl.
Kendall and Kylie both posted a photo on Instagram to express their joy. Kylie, 17, captioned her image: “BALMAIN CAMPAIGN. #MARIOSORRENTI. love to youuuu @olivier_rousteing.”
This season’s Balmain campaign was inspired by a brief, key moment that happened while we were shooting our last campaign. While I watched Mario capture a kiss last fall, I was struck by the love and emotion that I was witnessing in front of me. Starting with a determination to once again focus on the beauty of an intimate connection, my team and I quickly concluded that a celebration of the unique and unconditional love of siblings is a natural progression from the spirit of last season.
This marks a high-fashion debut for Kylie Jenner, who has so far stayed clear of modeling gigs — West’s Adidas show and her (and her sister’s) collaborations with Topshop and PacSun notwithstanding.
