Forbes said Taylor Swift has changed the nature of celebrity by posting personally on Twitter and Instagram and making time to engage with her fans or ‘Swifties’.

Taylor looked happy as she left her New York City apartment Tuesday after hearing she’s officially one of the most powerful women in the world.

Taylor’s 1989 album sold three and a half million copies in 2014. In November, in a controversial move, she pulled all of her music from the streaming service Spotify.
The world’s most powerful woman remains German Chancellor Angela Merkel followed in second place by Hilary Clinton. First Lady Michelle Obama is 10th, Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg (8), Vogue’s Anna Wintour (28), media publisher Arianna Huffington and designer Tory Burch and Queen Elizabeth II is at 41.
