So sad! Ben Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner announce their divorce after 10 years of marriage—Take a Look!

 

Actors Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have officially split.

Ben Affleck, 42, and Jennifer Garner, 43, are divorcing. After 10 years and three children together, one of Hollywood’s longest couples is no more, and the two announced their divorce in a very emotional statement.

 They announced their split today, exactly 10 years after they married (which was on on June 29, 2005). Below is the statement they released to E! News

“After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time.”

The pair started dating in 2004. They had met on the set of Pearl Harbor in 2001 and famously acted together in 2003’s superhero film, Daredevil. Ben reportedly proposed on Jennifer’s 33rd birthday, and the two were married in a private ceremony on June 29, 2005.

They have three children together; Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3. Was rooting for them!

More than 100 people were killed after an Indonesian military plane, C-130 Hercules carrying 113 passengers crashed into Medan, the third largest residential area in Indonesia.

According to Indonesia’s Air force chief, Air Marshall Agus Supriatna, the pilot told the control tower that the plane needed to turn back because of engine trouble. “The plane crashed while it was turning right to return to the airport,” Supriatna said.

Also speaking, police chief of Medan city Mardiaz Dwihananto, said several bodies had been recovered from the wreckage.

“The bodies were in the debris of the plane and buildings…we are taking the bodies one by one by ambulance to Adam Malik hospital. We haven’t managed to evacuate all of the bodies,” Dwihananto said.

The C-130 accident is the second time in 10 years that an airplane has crashed into a Medan neighborhood.

In September 2005, a Mandala Airlines Boeing 737 crashed into a crowded residential community shortly after takeoff from Medan’s Polonia airport, killing 143 people including 30 on the ground. Medan, with about 3.4 million people, is the third most populous city in Indonesia after the capital, Jakarta, and Surabaya.

Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong"o returns to her home country, Kenya—Take a Look!

The award-winning actress arrived Lupita Nyong’o for a homecoming tour to a rousing welcome. The visit is termed #LupitaHomeComing which kicked off a few hours ago with a press conference.

This is is her first official visit since winning an Oscar in 2014. Lupita will be charging Sh10, 000 per person at a gala dinner she will be hosting next week. The gala dinner tagged “An Evening with Lupita” is part of the itinerary in her homecoming tour in Kenya.

Although the 10k Kenyan money goes to charity (Elephants conservation efforts) some Kenyans are bashing the organisers over it. Will bring that later, for now see more photos below…
