Such a great story! When Steve Easton was about seven years old, his parents noticed that the suction cup was missing from one of his toy darts, and they were worried he had inhaled or swallowed it. So they took him to the hospital, but doctors couldn’t find anything. Yet for decades, he’s suffered from sniffles and headaches he thought were a result of allergies.
Now, 44 years later, it turns out his childhood doctors were wrong. In what must have been a powerful sneeze, accompanied by what he calls “a very uncomfortable sensation”, the suction cup emerged from the now 51-year-old Easton’s nose.
“I started a sneezing fit and it came out of my left nostril,” he says. “I thought, ‘What’s this? Where the hell has this come from?’ and pulled out this rubber sucker.” Easton called his mom, who told him about the hospital visit which he had apparently forgotten.
Doctors at the time said perhaps she was mistaken about her son inhaling the suction cup, she said. “I knew it wasn’t a mistake and it’s always worried me, and now it has suddenly shot out. We are all shocked.”
Easton carried the suction cup for a while and shared his story with family and friends but has thrown it away now.

Innocent man jailed for 29 years because he had resemblance to guilty man
This is yet another miscarriage of justice in the states. Michael McAlister (pictured right) spent 29 years in prison for rapes he didn’t commit but was locked because he had an uncanny resemblance to the man, Norman Bruce Derr (left) the sex offender who really committed the crimes.
An innocent man who spent 29 years behind bars after being convicted of an attempted rape and kidnapping has finally been given his freedom. Michael McAlister was cleared after a serial rapist who had an uncanny resemblance to the 58-year-old at the time confessed to the 1986 offence. He was granted an unconditional pardon by Virginia’s governor, wiping away the prosecution which he had campaigned against for decades alongside family and friends.
After clearing McAlister (pictured above now), governor Terry McAuliffe said in a written statement:
“A number of individuals in the law enforcement community […] have concluded that this crime was committed by another individual, and that Mr McAlister should be freed to return to his family and his community.

“I have reached the same conclusion, and I have acted in accordance with the law.”
Upon being reunited with his sister and elderly mother outside Dillwyn Correctional Centre, McAlister said that the governor was a ‘special man’ for giving him his freedom.
He told reporters: “It’s a great day. It’s a wonderful day. Governor McAuliffe, he’s a special man for being brave enough to do this.”
McAlister added that his thoughts were with the victim of the attack.
He said: “It wasn’t her fault, and I don’t hold any hard feelings at all toward her. I hope [the attacker] can deal with his issues as best he can.”
McAlister was 29 and working as a carpenter when he was identified by the victim in court.
The victim, a 22-year-old mum, was assaulted in the laundry room of an apartment complex on February 23, 1986.
But she was able to partially pull her attacker’s stocking mask off during the attack, and caught a glimpse of his face.
At the time, McAlister was known by police following a string of alcohol-related incidents of public indecency.
He was misidentified after a police sketch resembled his face, which helped lead to his wrongful conviction.

Former American Idol executive producer, Nigle Lythgoe says Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj are to be blamed for the show being kicked out of FOX after its 15 season. On Tuesday this week, it was announced that the next season of American Idol would be the last show. The show is being cancelled after 14 years and it looks like now they are blaming the downfall of the singing competition on the disastrous paring of Nicki and Mariah on the season 14 of the show. Former AI executive producer Nigel Lythgoe is blaming Nicki and MiMi for tarnishing the brand.
American Idol boss ‘Nasty’ Nigel Lythgoe has blamed pop divas Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey for the demise of the talent show. The programme’s former executive producer has hit out at the casting of the two singers as judges and agrees with Fox axing the series. He said: “Mariah and Nicki was just crazy, and then it really started becoming about the judges and took away from the contestants altogether.
“I think that was a major failing on the part of casting to have those two together.
