Police shoot dead white tiger that killed a man after flood water freed zoo animals  in Georgia

Early Sunday morning, massive flood in Tbilisi ,Georgia, destroyed homes and cut electricity and power supply to residents. The flood also destroyed a local zoo, killing some animals and freeing others. One of the animals freed was a tiger and it has been killed by police after it killed a man.

The man, 43 year old Otar Tsukhishvili, was mauled to death when he entered a warehouse where the tiger was hiding after escaping from the zoo. The man was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries and his throat slit. Doctors were unable to save him.That’s the tiger above.


A hyena is said to still be on the loose, causing serious panic amongst residents in Tbilisi.

The white tiger is carried away on a stretcher. Its victim, the owner of a textile plant, is understood to have been killed when he and three colleagues entered the company
